We were approached by phone with a proposal to purchase our timeshare interest in Mexico. Company claimed they were representing a large buyer in Spain who want to purchase 200 timeshare interests. We were offered a substantial price and told that the transaction would take about 30 days. We now know that Takin Care of Escrow, LLC has engaged in a series of fraudulent and negligent actions, including directing us to make multiple wire transfers to accommodate multiple “surprise” occurrences that were not part of the original premise for the transaction. These surprises included payment for a Mexican tax ID, payment for Mexican sales tax on transaction, payment for Mexican capital gains tax on transaction, payment for customs clearance fee and payment for insurance bond on escrow account. We now know that this is a complete scam and don't believe we will see any of the money.
