I was contacted via text saying that they saw my resume on indeed.com. I then received a skyp link for an interview. I did the interview process and they asked the name of my bank. The person assured me it was legit work from home job and not a scam. Later the next day i got an email with my employment offer and then in the skype they told me what I would be needing some working materials and soft-wares to begin provided for you by the company Via CHECK and once you receive this check make sure you use it as instructed for the soft-wares and I will refer you to the company's vendor whom you are to purchase them from... and asked if I understood. Then they told me the reason why the company is sending the funds for your Mini office equipment is due to the fact that the company wants this to stand as a test of trust and also we want to know how good you can handle funds placed in your trust or care. Then told me hope we have %100 assurance in me. Then they told me once you receive the check you are needed to have it deposited into your bank account ,then the funds will be credited and made available into your account for use the next day morning(24hrs) or less.... and with the check being a company's certified check, it should not take more than 24 hours for the check to clear. Then proceeded on with the Credit department is currently sending out checks to Employees for the purchase of working materials in order for them to meet up with this week's purchase and get started with training on time.. All you have to do once the check is received, is to have it scanned and printed out in order for it to be deposited via your Online mobile application. The check will be emailed to you in the form of a PDF Check, kindly confirm you understand how this will be done and to meet up with purchase , NOTE: once your working materials arrived you have to show your id and you are to sign for it do you understand? Then I was told to Here are some things the Accounting Department will like you to verify:

1. How do you want your name to appear on your check?

2. I need you to provide me with an email address you want the check to be emailed to?

3 what’s your mobile deposit limit and have you done mobile deposit before and do you know how to go about it or you need me to assist you with that?

4 Also will you be home to receive the materials once they all arrived and remember you are to have it signed. Then asked if i had a printer. Then told me to logon to my bank app to confirm if its enabled for mobile check deposit using my banking app. They then asked me if I had a mobile deposit limit. They asked if I knew what that was. They told me that the account department would be mailing me the check to my house and told me that the mobile deposit limit issued below the issued check and asked if I understood. Told me to kindly provide the correct address to receive this check and then told me I'll give you instructions on how to go about that once I have received it. I asked when I might receive it and they told me that I woulf have an update at 8am. Told me I wouldn't be taxed since they have branches all across the USA. Then told me alright would be all for today.

Went through the entire "hire" process, over 3 hours, just to receive a PDF bank check for "software and office equipment". The details in cashing the check and using the money were what flagged me. The interview questions and dialogue seemed very legit. It was the same script I just saw on here from someone else on 4/12/2023.

Someone named Michelle Young reached via email saying she found my resume on CareerBuilder. Asked me a series of questions then asked if I had a teams account. On teams someone named Helen Gibson who then asked a series of interview questions. She later asked what bank(s) I used. I lied because I caught on to it being a scam however I continued to see what else information she would ask for. She later asked what my credit score was, what credit cards I have, and what debts and loans do I have to pay. I did not answer and she followed up with equipment and how much it would be.
