I was searching for a job recently, then I got a text message about a job on 4/18/2023, so I replied and got connected with the recruiter named Michelle Sitzman, claimed from the company named Talend Integration Solutions. She told me that we had to interview with the app Skype on 4/19/2023. I was not comfortable with it, and asked why it was not a call or video, just texting in the app. She stated that this was the way it was for this company. After a few questions, and a test question, she stated that I got the offer for the position of data entry of $31/hr on training and $35-$45 after training, which is pretty high compared to the market job. I was happy and worried as well due to the unnormal activity. Then I got an email from the chief officer about the offer on 4/19/2023, with the job description and the W2 form. I had not yet filled out the paper work with my personal information and send her yet. However, she stated that the job description required an apple macbook and lots of software to do the job, so she would send me a check to purchase the material, and claimed this was part of the job task, and I needed to deposit it into my bank to make the purchase. I asked how much the check was sent out, she stated that it was $4000 plus, and I can keep the remaining of the fund for future use. The check was supposed to come today on 4/21/2023, but I did not receive it, and decided not to receive it. I also realized that the welcome email from the chief officer is a personal email with AOL domain, not the company official email, so I honestly asked her why it was a personal email instead of company email,and also requested to get an email from the company email. She claimed that company email was not for hiring employees and did not send me an official email. Thus I had lots of doubt and uncertainty about this job and decided not to take the risk. Then the recruiter Michelle Sitzman stated that I declined the offer after the check was mailed out, and she spent lots of time, and also stated that she would inform her legal team to take action and have the cop come to my door tomorrow morning. I asked her why I got sued and how much I am supposed to pay because of this. She first told me it was $500. Then I asked her to give me the details of the fund, and the name and address that I am supposed to send money to. She refused to give me this, and instead asked me to pay from the cashapp or zelle. Then Michelle gave me another amount of $357eagle, with the name of Jeff Boies for zelle. Providing me zelle information of [email protected] with the name: Paris. She threatened me to make the fund transfer within 10 mins otherwise she would sue me and we would see in the court, and also she would going to forward this information to my current employer know so that I am not fit for any organization or company. She threaten me many times in the Skype app chat saying having the cop to be my doorstep next morning. In the meanwhile, while I was not respond quick enough, the other partner of her called Jeff Lamberts also called me and left me a text message to response. This was totally out of control and trying to get me in this job. This is totally ridiculous and very threatening for a job seeker, I am losing faith in looking for a remote job or providing any information while seeking for a job.
