Saw a job ad online about being a "Secret Shopper". Replied to it. About a month later I received a check in the mail, for $2972.00 and instructions to cash it right away and buy Reloadit packs from Target. They would give me specifics about which store to go to. The check looks official. I called the Credit Union it was drawn on, and they verified that the check is NOT valid. They have texted me several times trying to verify if I have received the check.

I initially received an email stating that there were opportunities to be a Target secret shopper. I applied as the web address did include target.com I thought it was safe. I received a few emails that contained instructions that seem highly unprofessional and in poor English with nothing more than a gmail email address for contact, making me uneasy. I then received a check in the mail for $2,972.00 and a letter telling me to cash the check at my bank immediately and when I had the cash in hand to text 585-502-8103 "LOCATION" as well as email it to [email protected] to find out where to go. I was then to purchase reloadit packs, in the amount of $650.00 each for a total of 4, and then keep them and await further instructions. The next day I received a text message stating that I was to cash the check and text them. I advised that they could cancel my information from company database,

I was sent a cashiers check for 2945.00. i was to deposit in my account and then buy 5 reload it packs, keep 445.00 for myself . when purchasing the packs evaluate the cashiers. I checked with the bank which happened to be my bank as well to see if the check was good. The check is good. The name and address appears to be someone who is 102 years old. They have been texting me saying they know I have gotten the check. They also have my address because when filling out an application you put in your address.
