Got a text from this number asking about a car I have for sale on Craigslist. Wanted me to do a Carfax on the car and sent me a website to do it through. Person became unhappy and irritated that I wouldn’t use this specific website to check my car title. Stated that his grandpa was a car salesman and used the website all the time. Do not waste your time having a conversation with this person.

Scammer responded to Craigs List ad for a car. They only communicated via text. They requested I send them a report from tarheelcarshistory. They said their grandpa owns a dealership and said to always use that site. They also said they used it when they sold a car. I recognized it as a scam and did not take any action.
