Looks legit -I almost called.- Federal Taxing Authorities

Received a letter today with no return address stating that I need to make full payment for a lien imposed on me or my wages will be garnished and my property will be seized. Reported them to the FTC. Name on the letter : Tax Assessment Procedures domestic Judgement Registry.

Sent a letter that looks legit stating it’s from the IRS. We received “Final Demand for Payment” It gave us a large amount owed and a due date. They told us the amount was to be paid in full or seizure or forfeiture would be imminent. We called the IRS several times and after days and hours of trying to get to the bottom of it the IRS representative realized it’s from a 3rd party.
