They imply in the letter that they are the people who will be going forward with levy or seizure of property as it is signed off by ‘Resolution Officer Gamble’. So it sounds like they are acting on behalf of the IRS. Then I’m the letter it states ‘The Federal Tax Authorities can now take enforcement action such as seizing Social security benefits garnishing wages and bank accounts to satisfy the outstanding debt owed.
This looks like a very official letter from someone acting on behalf of the IRS especially the outside of it making it look like it is a W-2 or similar.
