These people have called my landline, cell phone & my spouse's cell phone - usually 2 or 3 times in a row. They either identify themselves as "Tax Crime Investigation Division with the Canada Revenue Agency" or "This is the CRA. Your name please." They will talk directly to you, or they will leave a message on your voicemail/answering machine. If you don't give your name, or you ask them why they're calling, they become quite angry & will start to threaten you with the police coming to your home the next day. If you don't give your name, they will start to ask if your are "so & so?". They just go down their list until they hit your name. When I asked to speak to a Manager, I was told that he had died. When I said that I was going to call the CRA myself, they began to yell at me. They said that they had a funeral to go to & needed my personal tax information, address, SIN #, etc. before they left. I hung up & called them back several times until their # said it was disconnected. This took approx 1 hour, but their #'s have become disconnected within 20 mins at other times. I also called the local RCMP to report this & was told that the CANADA REVENUE AGENCY WILL NEVER PHONE YOU like this. They will contact you through the mail only. DO NOT EVEN TALK TO THESE PEOPLE EXCEPT TO SAY THAT YOU'VE SPOKEN WITH THE POLICE & WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS A CRIME!!!
