Tax ID support Reports & Reviews (15)

This Website poses as a government website to get an EIN and is also pushed on google. After sending them my information I did some further reviews and realized you can get an EIN for free online so I called and canceled my request through them. They say that if you put a stop to the charge they will refund you and that did not happen. I am still waiting for my refund and have not had any luck. I can't believe they are still able to do this to people.

This website looks like a federal site to set up Tax Information such as EIN # for starting a business. This service is provided for free with the feds but this website charges 250$. They ask for my SS# and other information about the new businesses contact info, email, and address. It should be visible on the website that this service is free through the federal government. The scam is terrible and scary because of the sensitive information that is asked for.

End of March 2023, I received a call stating they can help me with my EIN. I told them I don't need help. "We can do it very fast." I failed to ask if there is a charge. On April 28, I received a charge of $250 on my VISA. 7/27/23, I called them to ask what this was for. Told them applying for an EIN number is free and they were illegal in charging me and I want a refund. "so sorry, we can't do that". This was from Tax ID Support.

I did receive an EIN number but the first 5 numbers were missing

I went to apply for an EIN for my business. This website pretended to be the IRS and charged money for my EIN, a free service from the IRS. All the questions on the website application were the same as the IRS. They even asked for my social security number. I reached out to this business directly and requested a refund. I will also report it as fraud on my credit card.

I went online to apply for an EIN for my mother's estate. The site Tax ID Support looked like an official IRS site. While filling out their form with mine and my mom's SS numbers, I started to enter my credit card number. At this point, my CC Co asked (Via an Email) if i wanted to continue. They had already rejected the charge and I would have to re-apply. I did not, so i closed out the site.

My question is: is that personal SS #'s still out there with this suspected scammer.. If so, what can I do to stop any illegal use of that info.

This website is a re-direction off the IRS.Gov site...... The goal was to get an EIN for a new LLC my wife was starting to sell her jewelry and maybe keep us afloat.....Getting a EIN (employee Identification number) is a FREE SERVICE. it has no cost....and is a few clicks....

They committed fraud, and stole 250 from our CC and have our SS info....My wife was fooled by this website because they design it to make the user feel its part of the IRS.... No one in their right mind would give their SS , CC info , and personal info to a 3rd party for service that is free to the American public. My wife noticed it was a fraud and closed out of the website. The website scraped the info already entered and billed us... Now we feel like a scammer has our SS number LLC name and CC card number to do who knows what with ... maybe sell it or scam us... We had to cancel our dreams of being business owners and they stole the 250 dollars we saved to start it... collecting users SS number posing as the IRS should be a federal crime.

We went to register a new EIN for a new business and this website was the first thing that popped up and looked legit, so once we put all the info in our credit card put a stop on it as they suspended fraud. And it was. we just got a letter from them saying they noticed we didn’t complete the EIN registration and it wants us to fill it out with our personal info and credit card number. Photo attached.

Just did the exact same thing as everyone else when applying for an EIN, thought it was an official IRS site and filled out the application with SS#! Checked my email for the confirmation and saw a previous email from sunbiz letting me know that my LLC was active and to make sure I applied for an EIN and the link was completely different than the one I used. Immediately went in panic mode, locked my card and called my bank to dispute the charge, but like someone else mentioned, you have to wait until it posts. I cancelled my card and now have to wait to get a new one. Just filled out the official EIN application and it doesn't cost a dime, so frustrating when people operate sites like this all over the internet taking advantage of people! It's not that hard to make an honest living!

Discussing this situation with my wife and she made me aware the FEIN's for a new business received no charges from the IRS. Of course when you use a search engine IRS FEIN, etc. This company has paid ads in 5 rows. They identify themselves as "IRS EIN Online Application - Apply Online - Federal Tax ID Ad·http://irs.usa-taxid.com/". Although they claim they do not misrepresent themselves. They list themselves as the IRS and then transfer you to the landing page. I was disgusted when I found that the exact same forms I filled out with them, I could have easily have done with the actual IRS. You can see that reading through their complaints and responses they have no remorse for defrauding people. They probably have someone on staff dedicated to disputes and ScamPulse.com complaints. Hopefully the ScamPulse.com takes it seriously and has them removed altogether. i would like my information expunged and my money back. Some people work hard for their money as opposed to defrauding.

I was trying to get an EIN number generated and was in a bit of a hurry. I did a search via Google and was pretty sure I was on the official IRS website. Somehow, I got directed to this taxidsupport.com website which charged me $250.00 to generate an EIN number. I later found the correct web page on the REAL IRS website and was able to generate an EIN at no charge.

I sent a followup email to [email protected] requesting a refund but got no response.

I went to apply for an EIN for a new LLC and this website opened up and asked for all of my identification and charged me 250 dollars in order to receive and EIN, which should have been free.

I went online to apply for a tax id number for an estate. I put in "how do I file for federal Tax ID" their site came up with what looked like a gov. application. As I entered all informtion and got to the end of it, they were asking for my credit card number. The cost seemed high from what my attorney had told me so I googled the cost and it was almost 5x higher. I went back to site and deleted all information. I later received an email asking me to complete the process. I did not respond and in fact blocked them as "junk" i saw a couple of weeks later they charged my card, even though I deleted the credit card information and never gave them permission to proceed. I have reported the fraud to my credit card company as well. Please let people know that just entering it will allow this company to capture your credit card information and later use it.

We applied for an EIN number and then realized that the site was a paid site and this could be done for free on the irs.gov site. We tried to cancel our order and the response was they would cancel it within 7-10 business days, but if we contacted our credit card company to cancel the fee, they would not cancel the service.

I needed to get and EIN number for my parent who passed away. I went to the website and it looked authentic. I entered the information and they asked for my credit card and charged me $245.00. I later read on the IRS website that there is no charge to get an EIN number and that it is a scam if anyone asks for money. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge but since it is pending they said I can't dispute it until it is actually charged.
