I received a call from an UNKNOWN number today. (No number was displayed). But there was a voice message from a Barbara at Tax Resolution Center regarding my back taxes and how she had great news about some recent changes that would benefit me. And to call her back immediately. I do not owe back taxes to any entity, person, place, business, government etc. So out of curiosity I called the number that she had left. When the gentleman answered the phone he did not state the name of the business, he just said "This is Thomas how may I help you"? I asked for Barbara and who she was and why was she calling me. He explained that Barbara is his (Thomas) personal assistant and I must have back income taxes that I owe. I said "No I do not, I am retired". So you didn't file tax returns last year?

"No". So you must owe property taxes on your business or home and rattled off something I couldn't make out. I said to Mr Thomas that I don't owe anyone. How did you get this number and who were you calling? "CLICK"

In short they didn't state the business when answering my call, didn't know whom they were calling or what type of taxes or to whom they were owed. He was trying to get me to say something that he could use.
