A celebrity that I follow on TikTok said he was giving out iPhone 15 pr0 to his followers and said to request for it. Upon requesting a form popped up and required to pick a box, if that box contains the iPhone, then you get the iPhone. I picked the box that contain the iPhone. I was then requested to pay for shipping, which I did in the amount of $9.95 and received confirmation of the amount paid informing me that the item was going to be mailed from BestBuy to me. Later I saw 2 charges on my card from this company for $30. I traced their phone number and called them and the charge was confirmed as being made by the company. I asked why? and the agent told me it was a subscription charge as part of the iPhone payment I made. I told the agent that I never subscribed for such and demanded for a refund. The agent said they have a no refund policy. At the end of the day, I was made to realize it was going to be a recurrent charge and they could cancel my subscription on request, but that no refund of the amount they already charged. I was even told that the iPhone was a raffle, not guaranteed to win, as against what was portrayed to be a gift for which the mailing charge of $9.95 was paid.
