Debbie posted a job listing on LinkedIn, under the company name T&D Graphics, for a proofreader. I responded with my resume, and she responded by LinkedIn messaging. She offered to send a chapter to review and prooofread, and asked for my email, which I gave. She emailed me, and immediately gave me a W9 to fill out and send back. According to her LinkedIn profile, she has worked almost 30 years in the publishing industry, and her messages and emails have grammatical and layout errors that were red flags to me, and then only after a few messages and no formal interview was offering work and asking for my W9 (with SSN). I have also not been able to find a website for T&D Graphics, and she didn't give me a URL. Aside from reporting this here, I have report her profile and two others linked to T&D Graphics on LinkedIn that also look suspicious.
