received a call from unknown number 3234170697, from a Tony Riveria, who later told me his personal number is 310-421-1057, stated he was calling from TE&A Mediation out of Los Angeles, Ca. in response to a debt I owed. I explained that I did not owe this debt and that I regulary check my credit report, he stated that just because you owe a debt it doesn't always show on reports.He also told me that if I didn't make payment that my bank accounts would be frozen and that they would contact my employer to have my wages garnished ( I am retired), he explained that this debt was sold to Capitol One, when I told him I would go to my local bank he said that they would not explain anything to me even thou I am a Capitol One customer. Mr Riveria then gave me a number that supposedly would verify that this claim was valid, the number he gave me was 800-477-1024, this number wants to give you a student loan. Total scam.
