I had contacted the “breeder” about a puppy I was interested in. They responded very quickly letting me know the puppy was available. They didn’t ask any questions about caring for the pup or anything else. When I asked about how they accepted payment they said I could go to Walmart, cvs, dollar general, 7 eleven, etc and purchase two American Express gift cards for $350 each and then send them pictures. At that point I could tell it was a scam and said I was not comfortable providing payment that way. They continued to text saying I could use cash app or zelle. They became more pushy but I just stopped responding and blocked them.
