Received a call voicemail was left saying...> customer this call is in regards for the renewal of your computer services as you are a registered customer _?_ $399.99 will be deducted from your account if you wish to cancel or stop the payment please press one or call us back at our toll-free number 1-918-420-1762 thank you…” It’s a scam they took access of pc an took money from my account. When they was suppose to be refunding money 299.99! Had me go to a site www.teamviewer.com an down hill from there

Got a call on my cellphone 6/10/20 that someone wanted to give me $300 and they needed a credit card or checking account to send the money too. I asked him who the person was that was giving me the money and he would not give me a name. I told him & was not giving them any information like my credit card or any account to do this. He then wanted me to open my computer so they could pass the money to me online. He downloaded their website called Team Viewer on my computer.

While he was sending the online information he kept saying TRUST ME, TRUST ME everything is OK. When the SUPPOSED business came up online I took down the 800 number (which is 800-638-0253) from the website. I also took down the phone number of the person who called me (653-031-9471). That number apparently was coming from Arizona. When he could not pass the money to any of my credit cards/bank cards he said he could send it Western Union. The supposed Western Union website came up and he put down $399 and then subtracted $17 for the Western Union fee. While he was doing all this at the top I saw the Chase.com web address as if it was being transferred from a Chase Bank to Western Union, I said Oh,I see you bank with Chase. He then asked if I had a Chase account and I said I did about 3 months ago but I shut it down as I never use it much. He seemed upset about that??

I kept telling him I didn't thrust him and he was really irritated and was speaking another language to a man in the background. Then the man in the background came on the phone and was irritated that I would not trust them and said they couldnt give me the money if I kept acting suspicious & I said I JUST DON'T TRUST YOU ALL and he hung up. I immediately went into my computer and deleted the website and kept both phone numbers and blocked them on my cellphone.

I have checked my checking account and am going to the bank tomorrow to make sure there's nothing subtracted from my credit card even though they do not have my accounts.

The caller states you need to cancel a subscription. The call says they are giving you a refund of computer software $499. They want you to type in teamviewer.com in the address bar. Then something had to be downloaded. I'm sure it's a virus or something. I asked why not mail me the check..it has to be done with a bank account or credit card.

My printer was not connecting to my laptop and the laptop has been glitchy so I found a phone number on line to the printer company which when I called somehow lead me to the scammers phone number which I called and they said they will fix my computer because they can see that it has hundreds of viruses after I stupidly granted them access to my computer through some website they lead me to. One of the websites was deamviewer.com which then led to teamviewer.com. I was told to download a few different programs which would give them access to "fix" my computer. I saw tons of files being downloaded, moved, deleted in front of my eyes. My computer didnt turn on at all the next few days. I let them try to fix my computer that 1 time .. they've called me many times since trying to have me let them "look into " my computer. I called back the number to try to talk to somebody and see what the heck is going on the guy kept repeating himself that he can see that their programs are still running on my computer (which is impossible because I had to go to Geek squad @bestbuy and they completely reboot the whole system to factory settings but this guy is very pushy and kept saying he can see their program is still running on my computer. He kept trying to push me to go to teamviewer.com to download some program for them to "uninstall" everything. He was very pushy trying to get my address to send me a so called refund check. Was saying if I don't go to that website and download a program to have them delete everything off my computer that they will keep charging me insane amounts of money because I allowed them to. Now year and a half passes they call me leave me a message saying they will automatically take out $4800 from my credit card because I supposedly signed an agreement to allow them to do this. I called my credit card company reported the card stolen to get a new number for the scammers to never take out any money again. This company is very pushy they called me 25 times within an hour. They are very persuasive. Do not let anybody try to fix your computer that you don't know personally. Go to Best Buy or somebody local.

A tech company called to offer a refund back to me due to the company closing. The are supposed to refund me $199.99 for services they offered a year ago, needless to say I never received those services nor my refund. They wanted to remote into my pc and have me log into my bank acct so they can directly transfer my refund to me. The guy said he accidentally put an extra $500 in my acct, I did she the funds in my acct. He told me to return the 500 back to him by sending a walmart gift card, however when i checked my acct I didn't see my refund of 199.99 nor the additional $500, at that time i realized this was a scam. I called them back and he told me just send the $500 back and they will release the $199.99. Im not doing that at all. This is a scam. Don't fall for it.

My computer operation system was expired. I brought mcafee and down loaded it. It would not complete the update and stated that I needed to call the tech support 877-969-7786. They had remote on to my computer to complete the mcafee down load & got rid of the virus for a fee. Several weeks went by and I received a call that my Microsoft was out of date and there would be an additional fee and I said no. A week later I received a call because I did not upgrade Microsoft that they could no longer support my service and would have to give me a refund. They asked me to look into my bank acct to see if the funds for service was there. It was there by two pending transactions which I found out the next day had been cash advance from my own cc acct to my checking. Instead of $400 it when in error as $4000. They said the the funds came from there corporate acct. the only way to correct the error was through getting gift cards and they would be able to put the funds back in the Corp acct. They scammed me for the gift cards amount. They never put any funds into my account. The remote access is how they made it appear that they had put the error amount back into my checking acct when they used my cc acct to transfer what looked liked was ok for the refund of computer service and error amount which they could no longer support.
