This number is the customer support number listed in a Shop Vac owner's manual. I called to order a part. However, upon calling, I was informed that I was awarded a $100 Walmart gift card. The support person then asked for my credit card (for $4 shipping costs), birth date, address, in order to send the card. They informed me after they got the information they needed to process the gift card, they would then help to address my original purpose of ordering a part. However, once they got my information, they then hung up and did not provide support for the parts order. I have since cancelled my credit card, since I became aware the company attempted to charge the inital $4 charge to my card (which was detected as fraud by my credit card company and transaction did not go through). I suspect this inital $4 charge was just to gain access to my account, at which point they could then make additional unwarranted charges. I emailed [email protected] to verify if the listed number was a scam, which someone did reply to confirm it is in fact a scam. I have since found out online that ShopVac was bought out by a Chinese company in 2020.
