Phishing Disguised as Technint (It's not Technint)
Phishing Disguised as Technint (It's not Technint)
There are no administrative assistant remote job openings listed on Technint's LinkedIn page, and the administrative positions they have filled pay at WAY below the amount promised by these phishers.
I got a text from someone calling themselves James Mowry, (123) 987-5918, who scraped my contact info from CareerBuilder.
They set me up for an online IM Teams "interview" with Jefferson Amsel ([email protected]).
Jefferson is an AI chatbot and does not actually exist as a human. One of the tip offs is the "HR jeff" participant status is "off line."
The bottom line; if the email contact doesn't end in @techint.com, it's not from anyone at Techint.

I received an email from [email protected] with an offer letter (signed by Paolo Rocca) requesting all of my PII, along with a form requesting my bank account information. The letter also requested my mother's maiden name. All information that would be required to get into my bank accounts and access to my credit cards.
When I asked Nick to send me an email from his techint.com address, he became very evasive and would not send the email.
I asked to have a couple of days to review the offer letter, and he pressured me to get it reviewed in a few hours.

I didn't realize it at the time, but Philip Anderson spoke exactly the same as Peter Raymond. Philip engaged in what he referred to as an online interview, stating that the world was evolving and so was their interview process. Being an introvert, I believed it. After finishing the interview process and waiting 30 minutes, they informed me that I had been selected. They sent me a check and a contract, that just required my signature. All they have is my phone number, address, and email. I printed and processed the check, which I'm sure will bounce. They tried to get me to send their 'vendor' money, in order to receive equipment for the job. A mac book, a printer, and a scanner were all promised. Thankfully, my bank had flagged this deposit, and made it so I could not follow anything through with other means. After informing them that my bank had locked me for 3 days, they suddenly became very quiet. I wound up doing further research about the company, and asked for the location of their US office, to which they lied and informed me they didn't have one. I blocked them there and stopped all further communication.
