I received an email from Norton LifeLock about renewing my antivirus service for 2 years at a cost of $689. I called the number on the email to cancel. It was a complete scam. The person I talked to told me someone was charging my PayPal for purchases I didn't make. He told me to request a refund from you (Better Business Bureau) in the amount of $880.. In typing the message to you, I typed $88,000. He told me I needed to pay it back to his company. This started the whole transferring of money. He had me login on my computer and then my Wells Fargo bank account. He showed me all the fake stuff that was going on with my account. I believed everything he told me about the money. I did 2 transfers from my bank to the Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong. I was stupid. I ignored all the red flags that should have gone off in my head. Once I realized it, it was too late. They had my money.

I received email thanking me for renewing my account for 2 years; they would charge my account $395.99, if I didn’t call to cancel within 24 hours. I called and said I never ordered this service. He wanted to help me with the cancellation process; I declined his offer to help me, again repeating I don’t need to cancel something I didn’t order. He persisted and finally I hung up saying I would report to BBB.

She stated someone would be calling me back. Within minutes, I received a call from “David”. I described the problem and “David” stated that more MS 365 users needed to be added ( I already own an MSOffice 365 Family Subscription. “David” stated that the additional subscription users needed to be activated. He stated that they “geek squad” used Amazon.com to activate users. He asked for my Amazon Prime account information and I would shortly receive a package. When it arrived he asked me to call him back at (734)290-6316. The package was received and it it contained 4 $200 Amazon gift cards $800 was charged to my Amazon account. He stated all charges would be reversed when the MS subscription were authorized. He next stated that the numbers I gave him were not valid and stated I would be receiving another package. This package contained 5 $200 gift card ($1000 charged to my Amazon account). I again gave him the gift card information. Again, he stated that the gift card information was not valid and would need to order another package. I again asked a refund of current charges and again stated a full refund be receive and be deposited directly into my personal account. My mother said she got the 1-800 from a TV Commercial advertising NortonLifeLock. That commercial and that not number are not associated with the company as I later came to verify. I spoke to a representative that went over the service and proceeded to set up monthly payments for the service. $32 a month. She then gave me another phone number 833-667-8661 and advised me that in case of an emergency - this was the number to call. This number is also not verified or associated with the company. I proceed to down load the required apps for the service. As I purchased the ultimate plus package. I aquired this service as I have been hacked and compromised via my cellular account and with my apple device for the past 5 months. This has affected all aspects of my life including my identity/finances/personal information and accounts. During the process it was not allowing me to upload a security measure for my social media accounts. I utilized the app 24/7 tech support which called another number - unfortunately I do not have that one available as I erased it on accident. But there is another number listed on the email - 855-993-1916 - So when I connected with the support team - they wanted me to download a 3rd party app to remote access my service / account. I new something was wrong and questioned the motivate. They acted strange and I decided to hang up. As I assumed that since I just purchased the deluxe package - they would call back. They did not and proceed to call the number the representative gave me and spoke to another representative and their solution to the problem was ridiculous. They wanted me to sign out and delete the app - turn off my phone and let it sitting for 5 mins. I knew there was something wrong immediately. Next thing you know - I’m locked out of these apps and my information has been compromised as well as my 3 credit reports that have been placed on hold without my permission or consent. I would also like the opportunity if possible to speak of TMobile & Apple Support if possible with a ScamPulse.com representative as I believe this is all connected as well. Thank You

I received an email with an invoice that stated the Geek Squad had renewed its subscription. The email had a phone number to call if you wanted to receive a refund for the subscription. I called the phone number and the person in the other end tried to get me to give him my credit card number. He stated that he wanted me to confirm my information to him so he could cancel the payment. I told him I knew it was a scam and he started yelling and cursing at me. He eventually hung up.
