Type of a scam Employment
He stated that I would be paid once a month. They had paperwork that looked legitimate. They then sent me "onboarding" paperwork from the "HR DEPARTMENT" requesting all of my information. I did not fill out the W-4 but I did fill out the other form which asked about how I wanted to be paid.
The options were direct deposit, cash app, venmo, or credit card transfer. I gave my banking information for direct deposit, which I have now closed. To verify my identity I was told to take a picture of a valid form of identification which was my Drivers License.
I was told to register for an account through the company dashboard and I would be given further instructions on what steps I would have to follow next.
Upon registering I was then flooded by an overwhelming amount of emails and phone calls From a man named Nel Seyer who said he was my Outgoing Shipping Supervisor and a woman named Gloria India who was my Incoming Package Supervisor.
I was to receive packages for customers who were somehow in another country who weren't able to access products from stores in the U.S.
The packages were sent to my home and my duties where to: Open the box to confirm the items arrived in good shape, take a picture and upload the photo on the dashboard and click the "Received" button. Then click the "Request a Shipping Label" button and wait for the label to be generated. I was to print the label out on my printer and repackage the item in a box from either UPS, USPS, OR FED EX to send elsewhere. I'd get in my car and drive the package(s) to whichever store the label had on it to ship. Get the receipt for the tracking numbers and upload it to the dash and click sent.
When it got closer to my time to be paid the packages slowed down tremendously.
I was then told that I had 3 packages that had been delivered and not added to the dash, I was then threatened with them taking legal actions if I did not ship out the packages.
I asked about my pay abd was told that I would not receive until the packages were sent out.
I am delinquent on a bunch of bills and were very dependent on the money to cover my bills and feed my 5 children ages 1 - 18 years old.
