Same story as above, there was to much urgency and after a 1hr after start they have e-mailed me a check to deposit in my personal account (which I thankfully did not do). Best I can can figure is once you but the “required” equipment from their vendor, the check suddenly gets cancelled. And not equipment shows up. So they make a few thousand dollars and I have less money and no job. Thank god for this thread.

Don't have number anymore deleted everything. Was contacted by text. Told me to download an app and someone would contact me. So I did. It's been 25 years since I had to interview for a job so just thought it was the new way. Ask several questions it lasted 15/20 minutes. She said you did fantastic I will pass this on to human resource the hiring manager. About 20 minutes later I was told I got the job which I was super excited. Then the scam came, I was originally told they provide everything you need. Then they were going to send a check from a different company, I deposit it in my bank then I purchase everything from one of there vendors at a discounted rate. I said I'm not comfortable doing that and why couldn't they just purchase everything and have it sent to me. She said that's the only way they do it. So needless to say I didn't get the job because I wouldn't deposit a check in my account from an unknown company. They say their a legit company and TMC maybe, but I think these people are using there name and information.

I got the same experience as those also in the thread. I was asked to download signal app and interview with “TMC.” They sent the same exact message except this hiring manager name was Jeffrey Gray. Sent me some interview questions, which was kind of weird. Never have I ever done an interview through text? Anyways they took 15mins, got back to me saying I was hired and that a check will be sent out to me from A DIFFERENT COMPANY. Which was my first red flags, hired on the spot AND a check from a different company. Thank God I found this page or I probably would’ve got suckered in. Sharing for awareness.

I meet a recruiter from CareerBuilder, and he claims to be a hiring manager. He instructed me to download Signal Text Message apps to communicate with the Hiring Manager named Christopher Harris, who lived in San Diego, California. I did download the apps and began an interview with Christopher Harris at 1530, dated 05/04/22. I got interviewed online, and it seems legit all the questions he asked me. I did answer the questions as much as I could. He let me wait for 15 minutes, and I was told to be in the device I was in, so he would give the hiring Manager hiring a person to see if I got the job. After 15 minutes, he told me that I got hired with all my expertise and qualification. He was impressed with my direct positive attitude. He hired me and told me to send me a check to purchase my mini home office. I hired for $55 per hour and training for $25 per hour. All the supplies will be given to me. He asked for my full name and address for employment purposes and sent the check to begin purchasing my equipment. He congratulated me and wanted me to report to him on Signal today, May 5th, for the job update. I was about to suspect. I began to search for who he was, and the company and I found out that scammer. I got scammed, so I texted him first and cut him off. It is the first time I was encountered this matter. I was disappointed.

The camera first contacted me via text message stating they received my Resume off of CareerBuilder and wanted to offer me a position. They requested that I download an app Wire. Communication began on that app after and from the start everything seemed sketch and very vague. When requesting information responses were very unprofessional. When I called the number that had first contacted me to verify information I was met by an individual who spoke little English. So then hung up on me. I did a little research and found that this is a very common scam please people be aware that the check is not real and do not deposit it.

Received a text message from someone Mrs Cristal Rosario claiming she was from TELEMEDICINE CLINIC in regards to my resume posted on Career Builders. She goes on to give a list of work from home jobs that are available and asked if I was interested in any of them. I gave her two positions that I was interested in. She goes on to say; This position is strictly online and it’s 40hours per week(you can schedule your hours within Monday through Friday),you will be working from home or anywhere of your choice(Flexible).You can choose to work during morning, afternoon and during evening,the pay is $35 per hour, training and orientation is $25 per hour. I say ok. She goes on; The first phase of the job interview requires you to join the Hiring manager on Wire business app to know more about the company and the job briefing/function and what the position details. Do you have a Wire account set up so we can get started? I say no. She cont; Download the App in your mobile phone,iPhone App store/Andriod Google Play Store by searching WIRE SECURE MESSENGER (big W logo) and create a personal account https://wire.com/en/. Let me know once you are done downloading the App and done creating a personal account,Okay?? I then download the app. She goes on; To proceed click start a new conversation and then type the username (@davidrichardson1) to connect with the interview Manager Mr . David Richardson on Wire Secure Messenger .Your timely response matters a lot. Your verification code is (TMCB882).Wish you the best of luck! I give him the information he requested. After about 10 minutes, he came back to say; From all indications it is evident that you are fit for this position based on your qualifications and the fact that you meet the requirements needed for the position. I also had to state that from my point of view you are a perfect fit for the position based on how the interview went. See im not being asked to purchase gift cards, I'm just being asked to buy office supplies, so far no money is being sent to them, so is this still sketchy? Cause how does this give them money if im buying my own things? I hope I'm careful with this. Sorry for your experience.
