Person calling has an accent, says they are from a discount department within the real company you do business with. They are offering up to a 40% discount on long distance rates. When you press them on details, they are adamant that they work for the company who currently sends you the bills. Only way to get rid of them is to physically hang up.

Telephone company says to check back with them within a week to make sure that your long distance bills have not been switched to a different company.
