Ran into an online post on fb from a group I follow (a female recruiter) offering a job 18-22 an hr work from home. Now of course who wouldn't love working from home at that pay. Thought I give it a try. Private messaged Cathy Manser, for her to tell me to download Google Hangouts to go through an interview with the company's manager. Company claims to be called TerraTechCorp. Emailed the manager the entire time going over job descriptions and duties. Then he started asking me about my credit scores and who I bank with. Said he needed to send me equipment such as a iPhone, laptop, fax machine, scanner ect. Ranging to about $5,000 some dollars. Wanted to deposit funds in my bank account for this equipment in exchange for my account name, account number, routing number, and online login info (username and password) said he needed to track funds in my bank account because previous employees got these funds then said they never received them. Told me I could change all this information as soon as I got the money provided by them to purchase the equipment I needed to start working. This is when I knew something was off. What company asks such information from their employees. When I questioned his motive the recruiter from fb disappeared and I could no longer see her profile. Told him I thought it was a scam and why I could no longer see her profile and she came back. Took screenshots of the recruiter I messaged on fb and her disappearance/reapperience not very much information on the manager who was messaging me other than a pic and his name. This needs to stop before more people get scammed just wanting a good paying job.
