I thought I was buying a Havanese puppy. The website had pictures and ages. It had great info about them being registered and free shipping for qualified buyers. I received a fancy contract by email. They would not take a credit card or check. I stupidly sent a money gram. Then on the day I was supposed to have the puppy shipped to me, I got an email and a phone call from a shipper, Leader Express Service, (703-419-9829 email: [email protected]) stating that the breeder didn't have a crate that would work for shipping. They then wanted me to "rent" a delivery crate from them, of course it was refundable upon delivery. However, the fee was $913.00 but they wanted it cash sent by money gram. This set off alarm bells especially when the link to their website was suspended and the email had multiple misspellings. Then I get a call from this shipping place. The man has an accent that I can barely understand. When I said no, he abruptly ended the conversation. I texted back Terry Milane the supposed "breeder" and said that I considered this a breach of contract and wanted my money back. Of course now I am not getting a response from him.
