And apparently it was that same day they were put up that I came back from my weekend.
That night I was called at work by "David from corporate" it was about needing supplies for the face shield and he said that he needed my personal number so I could get in contact with fedex and work with them to get the extra parts for the face shields and make sure the payments were authorized.
FedEx is a company that is used quite often with tesoro)
They said that I needed to make sure "fedex" recieved the parltial payment from "david at corporate" and apparently they did. I was told there were 2 invoices #3] and #31, #3] was "confirmed" and they gave me a fake confirmation number. They said #31 still needed money and that if we didn't get the shields put up we'd be fined thousands of dollars.
So "david from corporate said he was talking with my store manager and that I needed to count the cash in the tills and start vending the money from the safe. And he just told me to keep vending and vending. And then count the cash. Take it to an ATM that accepts cash deposits onto debit cards. So I did. And then he had me download 2 money apps:
REMITLY and
XOOM.
"David" also told me to keep sending him pictures and screenshots of the while process, and a picture of the front and back of my state ID. All throughout the whole process-
They had my transfer about $1500 altogether which took all my money $950-for rent and like $650 of the stores money.
They bad the money going to Mexico and had like weird addresses that weren't working and I managed to do 2 transfers, one through each app(STILL thinking I was helping corporate. Then I got a call from work. And I realized what happened. I got to work returning the cash that I didn't end up depositing.
Then I called my bank and froze my card AND my bank account, cancelled the orders through Xoom, and Remitly.
I ended up getting the money back and returned it to the store and was able to pay my rent.
Then I got terminated, which makes sense I guess
