Our church is having a tea party on October 22nd. In September, a member of the committee ordered 1 box of tea cakes to sample through Amazon. We liked them so I went to Amazon to order more on October 9th. They only had 2 packages of 7 left and we needed enough for 50 more people. I went directly to the website to place the order using my bank debit card. I order 4 packages of 32, which came to $127.66. I received an email confirmation right away. The email said I would receive another email once my package was shipped. It also said it took 3 days to prepare the package and it takes about 2 days to get to Maryland from Texas so I should receive them by October 14th. Today is October 16th and I still have not received an email giving me the shipping date. I called the number on the website and got a recording. I left a message with my order number and phone number. The called back when I was away from my phone but left a message. The message was an older woman mumbling. It sounded like she was talking to someone in the room with her (I saved the recording just in case). The rest of the message was silence. I called back and they answered and immediately hung up twice. Calls after that went directly to voice mail. I used a different phone number to call. When they answered, I asked if they were the Texas Tea Cake Company. They immediately hung up. Subsequent calls went to voice mails. I left another message asking for them to call me back, no luck. I went online to my bank to dispute the transaction. The bank will give me my funds back and investigate. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
