received email for a work from home position. completed the interview stated I was hired then they sent me a check for $2450 to purchase equipment from their vendor who supplies you the electronics to work. the check was placed on hold by my bank. informed Christine Heid of this and she proceed to say can I buy the electronic my self if so how much could I afford and that I will be reimbursed. then she gave me a email of [email protected] to send $1000 first once done send a screenshot of the payment confirmation for documentation also told me to Ensure to use the family and friend option. I asked if they could call me and gave my number but was given a spill about (just as you have been informed earlier. This phase of the interview is text based however, you'll be contacted when your work materials are delivered and set up during training and orientation okay? ) I almost fell for this and it is not right when so many people are looking for work and getting scammed.

Found a job offer for Spanish translator on indeed.com and applied to it. Received the same email as was published here, offering a text-based interview (obviously a scam).
