I just get a text from someone today at 5:06 who ask if I have a moment to talk. I who are they and the told the was with they name was Iris with Adecco Group USA they currently have remote work available they ask can the share the available position. I told the ya and they share the positions with me and they ask if the number they text me on was my WhatsApp number so they can share specific details. So I text them ask that’s not a scam and it take them a few minutes to text back. The some person who said they name was Iris text me on WhatsApp and I ask the something if they was a scam they ain’t text back. Am concerned because they said WhatsApp and I know a lot of scammers use WhatsApp.

Asks illegal questions; practices ageism

This “company” seeks “employees “ via arbitrary phone numbers using text. One is offered employment with the lure of earning $100-$300/day with less than 4 hours work per day. They stipulate you must have a “good” internet connection. Supposedly, the only caveat is AGE. I was told you need not have any qualifications…. (Not speaking, typing, software, reading…); however, you MUST be between 22 years of age and 65 years of age. Of course, should you opt for the “brief training”, then you will need to supply your bank routing info etc. The ONLY question I was asked was “how old are you?” When I told this “recruiter” it was illegal to ask that, he simply told me that was the only requirement they had.

This user sent me a message, I was shocked as a fist timer freelancer I've got a client who message me in my gig on fiverr but its not related what I've posted in my gig, and after a few minutes i have block by the fiverr user because I can't send any message, and then I check the message i see that he put Tg account then I go to telegram and message him, see the screenshot I've made.

Be ware of this specially to those filipinos who have encountered this. This is big scam

Employer claims to be working for Adecco Group under the name Jan Gupta

When i was searching for remote work as a content writer, this employer comes out of nowhere, offering me a job. Now, the person in question, Jan Gupta, is an employer for the Adecco Group BUT, he asked me to download the messenger app Signal. This is a dead-clear sign of a scam. Not only that, but his demeanour was also very nonchalant and unprofessional, only resorting to text instead of calls or video chat. He even claimed to provide me with a 'free macbook' so i could do the remote job and even a fax-and-scan machine. The details are provided below:

Almost got scammed

As many of you I got a text message from someone saying that they were part of the recruiting team and put me in contact with another person who proceed to do exactly the same interview that everybody else has been going through.

This time it was through Telegram and that made me feel as it was suspicious so I started looking for scams from Adecco and was able to find this website and realize that it's exactly the same modus operandi that everyone has shown.

I have been so desperately looking for a job! Against my gut, and better judgement (I am so much better than this), I sadly fell for this bait. A ‘person’ named John Douglas sent me a text message personally. Seems as though they all have two first names! Patricia Alex was the name on the country. Camile Ladgemo was the ‘person, or persons’ I spoke with. They have LinkedIn profiles. Sneaky, deplorable people! I would LOVE to speak with anyone else that has foolishly sent these awful people personal information and/or money! Especially if you sent it through Bitcoin! Please contact me! I have dug very deep and I have a lot of information that I have already shared with the FBI! I didn’t deserve this! I will completely admit that I was foolish, but desperation and the frustration of searching for a job clouded my judgement!

I applied on Facebook jobs. Where I was then messages by a woman named Billy Fit who suggested I download telegram and sign in for a interview with Adecco Group company. Apparently this is to get in touch with a guy named Eric who is supposedly the HR hiring manager. After several back and forth briefings and hiring he asked for personal information and gave a suspicious email to provide the information to. This email doesn’t match other Adecco staff emails. For example they would look like [email protected]

5 or 6 calls asking me to check my emails for a contract to sign with regard to a job. I in fact have applied for a position with the Australian Census Bureau and Adecco is involved in recruiting. However my police clearance is not complete so I shouldn’t be receiving a contract as yet. The phone numbers go to a disconnect message. I have given them my email addresses thinking it was legit but now I am sure it is some kind of scam.

I am located in West Palm Beach, FL . I am a home maker which is trying to get back into the workforce. Unfortunately, I was a victim of this scam. I did see a few red flags, but figured I was being paranoid specially since I know that covid has changed the hiring process. I am currently awaiting for the check, which I now know I won't be depositing. Can someone please tell me where I can report this? I was asked to download the Telegram messaging app to do the interview. A Michael ********* interviewed me for data entry position. The salary was high which was a red flag. They sent me a check to buy office supplies. When I called the company name on the check, they said that I was the second person recently to have been scammed in this way.

They interview you google hangout, hire you, then send you a "check for equipment you're supposed to deposit into your own bank account. Next, they'll ask you for proof, a screen shot of the deposit. Since it'll have to be a mobile deposit the "check" will take a few days to deposit so they ask you to front the money up front. I told them no and the next day the check bounced. I did an interview with a fake employer on Google Hangouts and he said I’m hired into Adecco Group and that I would work from home, $35.00/hour. He said he would send me a check to pay for an apple labtop, laserjet printer, etc. so that I would be a data analyst and accounting record keeper. He sent me a check from Texas that was worth $3,950.00 to buy senseless supplies. He told me yesterday at 8:00 am in the morning to go to Walgreens or CVS Pharmacy to buy two $200.00 gift cards for the apple labtop and I said no. Today they sent me a $2,350.00 check from New York which is part of the scam. I blocked the guy on google hangouts and the phone number they used to try to reach me. I will not deposit these two checks.
