"The Autocare Center" uses a national public database of car owners to target individuals who own vehicles with warranties that are about to expire. They claim they are the underwriters for Toyota's extended warranty, but upon further questioning they are unable to validate that claim with any contact information for Toyota. I asked them how they are able to provide a Toyota warranty without working with anyone from Toyota. They have called several times and during the last call I finally got the caller to admit that "The Autocare Center" is not associated with Toyota in any way. I can't even find them listed as a legitimate company. They are only offering to sell an extended warranty without any such way to implement it. So...counterfeit product scam. When I requested they take me off of their calling list, they hung up on me before I even finished the sentence.
