This is absolutely a scam. A person claiming to be their CEO scammed me under a different company name. She claimed to be stuck overseas, going to give me a company card and company laptop when she returned. She made a bogus payment to my credit card; it went through long enough for the credit to be available, but then she stopped the payment, putting it back in the red. Neither bank claimed they could do anything about it. Filed a police report and claim with the FTC reporting the previous company. She worked so hard to convince me she was real, sent a picture of her driver's license, put me in contact with one of her "long time clients" (probably another scammer). She also sent a screenshot of the payment she sent. What I should have noticed about it was that there were transactions from a Florida gas station and Walmart from days she claimed to be in Dubai. Also, when I looked up the address, these really crappy apartments came up. How could she have been successful enough to pay someone $500/week if that's where she was living? Ugh! I feel so stupid! PLEASE DON'T FALL FOR IT LIKE I DID! I have to take a second job to recover.

Scammer pretended to need a remote personal assistant to handle certain task. Then started hounding me to go buy iTunes cards with money they would let me transfer from a bank account. They said once I bought these iTunes cards I had to send the the card info and scratch off code on the back to send to them. This “company” asked me to do all of ‘tis the same day that I signed a company agreement. Clearly a scam.

I’m about to work for them too as a personal assistant but before I sign for the job I want to do more research on them. When you bought these iTunes cards, were you at least compensated for your work? I don’t have an issue buying this stuff for them as long as it’s not my own money being sent and secondly, as long as I get paid at the end of the week.
