We had to reach out to THE CLUB @ CASA LINDA for photos on May 7, 2024, although we were told they would be sent to us. The photos that were sent to us to post on the third party sites, were not the photos of the villas that we toured and were told we could use. The photos that were provided to us were taken down by the Airbnb site and we have not been able to use the photos to make a profile.
Event Timeline
Friday, May 3, 2024: my husband was approached by Esmerolissa with a business proposition to invest in the property. Hereafter, given a tour of the property.
Sunday, May 5, 2024: we were given another property tour and shown the agreement. Up to this point, Ramon Gonzalez discussed everything about the proposition verbally. Terms in the agreement were discussed and a deposit of $1,195.00 (excluding foreign transaction fees and taxes). We were also told that I needed to pay the closing costs to keep the agreement although we did not sign an agreement yet. We were then told to come back on Monday, May 6, 2024 to sign the purchase agreement.
Monday, May 6, 2024: We returned to the office in the morning to review the agreement and sign. We were originally asked to pay a 50% deposit however, opted to pay a 35% deposit of $6,998 with the remaining 15% being paid over the next 3 months of with monthly installments of $999.95. We would have no payment for September 2024 and the remaining $10,000 would be financed at 7% interest for 36 months with a monthly payment of $308.75 beginning, Oct 2024. All payments mentioned were supposed to be paid by the 30th day of each month.
In conclusion, we are completely unsatisfied with the line of communication since we left the Dominican Republic. There have been several messages, emails, and phone calls made to THE CLUB @ CASA LINDA and we believe that this contract should be null and void due to sketchy business practices and not upholding some of the terms/conditions that were agreed upon and mentioned above.
