“David” has a listing on Craigslist for a unit in a complex in Charleston, SC. We were in constant contact for days about renting it. He gave us a photo of his drivers license & info to look up his realtor license to prove it was legit. That he brought it up even seemed shady. His linked in link was broken. No Facebook page. His Twitter wasn’t active.
My husband found another page that’s exactly the same but this time he has a completely different name & business name. Everything else is exactly the same but no contact info on the other one.
Apparently there is a 3rd name people listed on here where they lost money because of him. The Alex Platinum.
He offered if we sent security deposit & 2 months rent upfront, he’d give the 3rd month free. So he wanted us to wire him the $2,800. We knew that was shady.
