- Denver, CO, USA

I received a phone call in early March, 2023. The scammer told me that they worked for the Denver Post and asked how I liked to read news, digital or on paper? I told them digital. They then said that I would be given a free paper the following week, as a thankyou for participating in their survey. They also asked me to confirm my home address. They asked for my email address, so that they could send a digital copy. I declined to provide this. One paper was delivered on the following Sunday. An agent called me to confirm again that I had received it and I clarified that it had come, but that I was not subscribing. He then told me that I would receive a free subscription for a full year. I did not receive anymore newspapers after that call. I did receive an invoice in the mail from the Denver Post, informing me that my subscription had run out. Today, March 29, 2023 they called me again to tell me that a subscription that I'd had since December 12th of last year, was expiring. It's worth noting that all the people who have called me have had foreign accents. In the future I will not even confirm my address and name with random businesses. Don't accept any calls from the Denver Post.
