Type of a scam: Counterfeit Product

The Faithful Handyman initially came to my home, and presented me with a business card. His Name is Erik(C) Shannon, Erik assessed the job I requested at my home, and asked for a deposit to hold the job; to assure he would "lock me in" and return on a date promised to begin the work. Eric set up a payment plan, and collected two large deposits; one in the amount of $20,000 (cash) and one in the amount of $10,000 (cash). My weekly payments were paid and in the amount of $6,000/week. By the time almost all the money had been collected and not even half the work completed did I realize that I had been scammed. Erik upon collecting the initial deposit of $1,000 to hold the job drew up a proposal including work to be completed by himself and crew which to my surprise was outsourced; however I paid the outsource company, as well as Erik was collecting my money like clock work; actually that was almost the only time I would see him, as most visits to my home were short and he didn't even pick up a nail! Once Erik was able to take almost all my money including jobs outsourced i.e. windows, pluming, and cabinets he decided that he wanted to break away from me on this job; simply "cut ties" he had a dispute with one of his workers, and felt he couldn't trust his worker anymore. I allowed Erik to use my Home Depot credit because he had shown me cards in his pocket belonging to other customers. My credit was abused by Erik as well as his worker (at this time I had never authorized Erik to give the card to anyone) the bought household items, tools, and over bought materials; some of the materials never showed up to my home, or were returned to the store (not to my account) Erik would return the over-purchased items to Home Depot without and receive store credit for himself.
