He had accounts on Instagram, jake_ak420 "TheFlavorFactoryUSA",
which he used to guide me (he posts pictures showing hundreds of boxed orders being sent out orders) to his account on Telegram Instant Messenger (https://t.me/theflavorfactoryofficial - @TheFlavorFactoryOfficial).
He agreed to send me an order for three ounces (3) of Cannabis, and outlined his prices, so I paid him. THEN he came back after I paid him and he said he needed an additional $475.00 for shipping and handling. I refused and asked for my money back. He wriggled out of that and claimed he sent the package and I could reimburse him later. "then" he reached out claiming that he needed another $257-$475 (depending on how fast I wanted it) for a Phytosanitary certificate to get the package certified to send out of his home state. I asked for my money back as I was not about to pay $1000.00 in undeclared and hidden fees/taxes/shipping. He supposedly decreased the size of my order, taking two of the three ounces as remittance for his shipping fees, and I knew I would not see anything at this point.
Finally, he sent me an email stating that I needed to pay a $1383.00 "refundable insurance cover" because the package was held until I pay that amount (email pasted below).
I know I "only" lost $1000.00, but I hope this guy can be stopped before he robs too many more people.
If I had paid this guy what he wanted, I would have ended up paying:
$1000.00 - for one (1) ounce of weed (when 3 were originally ordered) because he decreased my order to cover his "fees".
$257.00 - for a Phytosanitary certificate to get it out of his home state?
$1383.00 - for "Refundable Insurance Cover"
=$2,640 for 1 OZ of weed... MUCH more than the street price of $300.00 per ounce.
