Type of a scam Employment
After running an estimate and a legal agreement, he said his bookkeeper would send a check. After sending the check, or before, he said they made a clerical error and sent more than they should have. I received the check. It looked great, with real everything, and my bank deposited it into my account and everything. He then asked me to Zelle him, then he said his assistant's Zelle wasn't working, so he started pushing CashApp. I was feeling sketchy already, so hunted down his phone number and BAM, saw the EXACT same SCAM with the same phone number, a LANDLINE in Englewood, New Jersey??? Anyway, he MAD now. Also, the FEDEX package was sent from a bogus address in BOSTON, but given to a FEDEX location in a Walgreens in Cummings, Georgia outside Atlanta.
ATTACHED ARE THE FIRST EMAILS FROM THIS SCAMMER. I IMAGINE THEY ARE PRETTY STANDARD.
