Type of a scam Online Purchase
After patiently waiting for my b-day present to arrive for over 2 months, I emailed Doug again on March 26 (after March 21 alleged date of availability) stating, "Just checking as to the status. Anxiously awaiting for my new bag to arrive - When might I expect to receive it?" I never heard back from him. I emailed him again today, April 2, asking, "When can I expect to receive this order?" He emailed me back, "Your bag is scheduled to ship in Mid-May." I emailed him back again stating, "I thought the bag was supposed to be available March 21, and that it would then take two weeks to personalize & ship. So it is going to be another 6 weeks from now? Why so long?" He emailed me back stating, "Inventory on all bags on all manufacturers are low and production is slow." Now starting to feel like I have been scammed, I looked up The Golf Bag Place on the internet and saw their address as 9 Cornerstone Square #400-271, Westford MA. I then called the property manager of Cornerstone Square (Dusty) and he said there is not a business named The Golf Bag Place located there - that he knows all of the tenants. He confirmed that he also believes I have been scammed. I then emailed Doug at 11:16 am CST stating, "Please refund me my money - $249.95." I then filed a claim with PayPal and my notes & claim were sent to Doug by Paypal. He has yet to respond to my last email or Paypal's dispute notice. I honestly believe I have been scammed and am very upset that the bag I wanted as a birthday present is never going to arrive :( Please help me to resolve this matter. Thanks...........
