I did not speak directly with the caller, instead they left an automated message twice within an hour and half. It stated an investigation team is investigating 'you and your family'. 'We have tried to notify 'you' in the last six months but have never got a response' so it is being considered an intentional fraud and a lawsuit has been filed in your name by the United States Government.

It is is a computer generated voice and the script is not professional. It actually uses the word "so" and indicates you must contact them before 'your case is downloaded into the courthouse' and provides their number. Clearly a scam but it will alarm senior citizens, like my mother in law (who keeps getting fake IRS calls too) and those who are not savvy to these scams.

I was offered a grant of 7500 dollers in the form of cash. The woman on the phone said her name was Haley and if a got a Steam card from walmart she would transfer 7500 dollars to it.

called and told me that you have received a grant from the government asked about my social status,and finished with an OK?hence i answered ok and she hung up the phone

Calling from the Government in Washington, DC. Calling because bills had been on time and did not owe any taxes. The government is picking 1500 people giving them $7,000.000 for paying bills on time for a lot of years. Peter was the person that called, he had an accent. Call him back 206-259-7029. Do you want the money by deposit or cash on hand. Cash on hand you will need to go to Western Union and pay a $250.00 fee, which you will get back, after talking with him I hung up on Peter.

I was contacted by an unknown number on my cell phone and a person named "Michael" who was forign said that I was selected out of 1500 people to be one of many who will receive a 7,000.00 grant from the government because I paid my taxes, had no bankruptsy and no criminal record. They provided me a confirmation number, and the number of their "supervisor" which I never called as hearing the information he provided gave me red flags and I knew i needed to see if this was something others had happen to them. Turns out i was right, and am not the only one who has gotten these calls.
