She had both a website, and an Etsy shope in which she became very popular and successful selling homemade wax melts. She has a huge following. She has a preorder for her melts in Novemebr, and Decemebr. People spend almost $1000 each order. She offered Discounted (20%) gift codes to her Etsy shop on her shopify website. PayPal is not an option on that site, so returns aren't allowed. She then held ANOTHER preorder for the melts before shipping the ones from Novemebr so people could use these discounted gift codes. Customers did. January came and no one has heard from her. Her Etsy shop and website have since been shut down so there is no way to use the giftcodes and nobody got their orders from Novemebr or December. Today she deleted her social media profiles and has completely disappeared without a word to the customers who gave her THOUSANDS of dollars. Everyone is filing claims through PayPal or Etsy, but the people like me who bought the gift codes off of her website are having difficulties getting that money back. I have almost $500 I'm working to get back and I am nowhere near the amount that other customers spent. She stole from hundreds of customers, and then disappeared leaving us empty handed with the stress of trying to figure out how to get our money back. It is very obvious that this was premeditated(steeply discounted gift codes, starting another preorder before last one shipped)

but her customers trusted her, and she took advantage of that. She shouldn't have a chance to do this again.
