They send these emails in the hope that some poor college kid will accept their offer to join this generic sounding society. (actual honor societies have Greek names, have subjects, and visit potential members in person). They want people to pay a subscription to join them in return for scholarship opportunities. But they are clearly fake.

They even lie on sites like Yelp and Google Reviews to make themselves seem more legit by making fake accounts to leave positive reviews. Im not exaggerating when I say that every single nice review they have on the two sites come from accounts with only one review and missing profile pics.
