I received a call with an automated message indicating that my electric power would be cut off in the next 30 to 40 min. due to non payment and to speak to a customer service rep. to avoid disruption in service, press one. I was connected with a women with a Jamaican sounding accent who informed me that I was past due. I told her that I could see from my online banking that I was not past due. She asked for the amount of my last payment and my address. I gave her my address and I told her that the last payment was $97.80. She responded that she didn't know why my payments weren't posting to my account and that she could assign the account to an investigator. At that point, I responded that the call sounded like fraud and the call went to music. I hung up. Called the Illuminating Company, looked up my account and it indicated that I was paid in full.

I am reporting a scan call I received. I received a message. Connecting themselves with the Illuminating company. Threaten to cut my service off. Gave me a number to call back. 800-613-8561 X 1004. I called the number back. Hector answered. Connected me to Elizabeth Thompson. I have commercial property not residential. What is strange is they had the Illuminating company music. I called the Illuminating company and reported the call. They need to be shut down.

I received a robocall claiming to be from my Cleveland area electricity supplier. It said my account was delinquent and my service would be turned off in 30 minutes if I didn't return the call. However, I'm actually owed a credit because of an over payment I made to the (real) company.

I have received numerous calls from someone claiming to be from the Illuminating Company. They leave a voicemail recording for me saying that they have deal for me today. They say they have a way to reduce my utility bill. They are calling from phone number 2163507561.

I get these phone calls almost daily. A foreign sounding person gives me their common English first name and states they are from the Illuminating Company contacting me about my account. Well I don't have an Illuminating account so right off the bat I know it's a scam. I try to get as much info from them as possible but it's all lies anyway. Then I tell them that they should be ashamed of their criminal acts and that they will be caught and made to pay for it. It's about the only thing I can do. Is there somewhere else we can report this? Can't one of our government agencies find these people already?

they took out a credit card in the name of someone who has been dead since 1992. person who died is a relation to us. they were aware this person was dead when issuing the card. of course some company from India wants a copy of the death certificate to cancel the card that should never have been issued. no one gave permission to take this card out except the illuminating company who fraudulently took out this card in their name.this is fraud at it's worse. some one needs to investigate the illuminating company.
