I was applying for a job for data entry specialist on Indeed.co. Then I had received a email on Monday. I didn't read it until Wednesday. But the interesting thing about the company that came off suspicious to me was that on Indeed that company was from People First of Louisiana. Then when I got into the online interview they gave me a link to The Karis Group website. The email was also addressed to to different people. The email that was sent to me was from a Mike Holland. The google hangouts email was from a [email protected]. He claimed to be 59 years of age and a personnel manager of The Karis Group. I had never spoken to neither of the individuals or received a email reply for the late response email I since to Mike Holland for the email he sent me. I replied back to him Thursday morning (today), to see if I still can conduct the online interview that they talked about in the email. To which he replied "I believe you're ready for the interview" which didn't make sense at first either. I continued with the interview only revealing my name, age, and state. To be on the safe side I just told him the name of the bank that I didn't use anymore because I was very suspicious and I had feeling. So at the same time I live chat with one of the bbb representatives Sherri and she told me to ask for the location of the company and phone number to verify that it was legit. I asked the scammer where was the location of the company and the phone number, no reply. Then I asked again, then the scammer blocked me. I knew this because a message pulled up saying so. That was the moment I knew this was a scammer and then I reported it. I didn't get any money taken from me however (which was my fear) because I gave him an unused bank account. I thank the bbb representative very much for her help she saved me!!!
