Type of a scam Employment
I received the check a few days later by FedEx for $3700.00. I was told to cash the check immediately by the training supervisor "Benoit Grillo". My bank, Chase, however, procedures of cashing checks from different banks would require a hold. So, when I finally deposited the check, the teller had told me it would be a hold until the August 14.
Now, this morning, August 8, 2018, I checked in the with training supervisor like I have every morning and told him the status of the check. Even though we've been communicating through Google Hangout, I could sense his patience was wearing thin and his tone turned aggressive. He demanded me to ask the bank to release the funds right away. So, I called the bank inquiring about the hold.
I was transferred to the Hold Specialist and he explained the check was a scam.
So far this morning, I've contacted my state Attorney General, which she had given me several numbers to contact to report this fraudulent scheme, such as the United States Postal Inspector, and this website.
I know there is plenty of credible work from jobs that aren't scams. I personally know a few people who do work from home with an incident. Also, I wished I would have listened to my instincts. But I wanted to give them a benefit of a doubt.
