I received a package in the mail on July 8, 2024. The package was shipped from "The Michaels Companies, 3939 W John Carpenter Fwy, Irving, TX 75063". The package contained a fraudulent Check. The check was addressed to me for over $1,000.00. The remitter of the check is listed as "Kenna P Hix". The check was labeled with the Morgantown Bank logo, but the address has been misspelled as "PO BOX 68, MONGANTOWN, KY" instead of "Morgantown". I did not ever work for this company so there is no reason for me to receive this check. There was no other information in the package explaining information about the check, so I assume it to be a scam. The shipping label is "9102 7802 1476 8902 3502 11".
