Type of a scam Online Purchase
On February 19, I sent a facebook message inquiring about where my shoes were, as I hadn't received them, or any contact about them. I was told they were 'stuck at the post office' . On February 21st, I sent an email to the company inquiring about when I was going to receive them adn asking for a refund if it wasn't soon. I was told:
"It's so hard to predict the estimated time of arrival, but we will push the post office to handle yours firstly. Thanks for your kind understanding and best regards."
On Feb, 24th I replied saying I wanted a refund.
On Feb 25th I received a response: "Would you please kindly wait some more days, I swear you will receive the cute item soon."
I responded the same day inquiring again when the shoes would arrive, and if not soon, I wanted a refund.
On that same day, I received this response:
"Dear Customer, we feel sorry for the terrible transportation service, we will continue pushing them to handle our packages quicly. You know it's an international shipment, and also it's the busy season for sales, so sometimes it's a little complicated and needs more time. Hope you kindly understand and wait for several days. We can assure you that you will receive your package soon."
On Feb 25th: I requested a refund. Again.
On February 26th: They responded: "Would you please kindly wait some more days, I swear you will receive the cute item soon"
On Feb 26th, I responded with "You won't tell me if it is three or thirteen days, so I do not want to wait, I want a refund, please."
On Feb 26th, their response: "We are really sorry for this inconvenience caused to you and keep you waiting so long. We just contacted the post office, your order was really shipped out. Due to the slow shipment, the tracking info hasn't updated yet. Transportation is later than usual, would you please give us some time I must handle it immediately, we will work hard to proceed with your package."
On February 28th: Their response: "I am so sorry for the delay, would you please wait one more week?"
On March 2nd: We are so sorry for the inconvenience, your package has been sent out, we will push the post office to handle your first (sic). And I am 100% sure you will receive your package soon, please trust me and have a nice day."
My response: "Mona, please initiate a refund. I do not wish to wait any longer."
Their response: "We are so sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. Your package has already been sent out, it will arrive soon. So currently we are unable to cancel your order, we will push your order. And we can assure you it will arrive soon, your kind understanding will be highly appreciated."
So, fast forward to today, April 16th. There have been multiple other exchanges between the company and myself. All of a similar nature to above, no date given of estimated arrival, no tracking number, etc. All empty promises. I have not received shoes. Or a refund from the company.
Also, when you look at their Facebook page, you'll see a few things;
Comments are deleted-these are customer comments complaining. I see almost no comments about people receiving these shoes.
Majority of reactions are angry faces.
They stopped posting on The Newsides Facebook page on March 11th.
Now, there is another Facebook page with the same items for sale, with similar marketing, called ThiShoes. All they have done is switch companies in order to scam other people out of money. This makes me so upset!!!
