Type of a scam Online Purchase
I received a second and third email from Michael Kresler ([email protected]) with additional vehicle questions and wanting me to do a Title Check through the third party website www.threport.com. I went to the website, entered my VIN# and they wanted $23.99 to "buy the report". I emailed him that I would only do the report if he was seriously interested and when did he want to meet and see the vehicle.
The website said my vehicle had "23 records related to the VIN#", so later in the day I decided to "buy the report".
The website said my credit card number was declined. I got worried and called my bank, they had already issued a "fraud watch" on my account. This is a scam that I was not aware of yet.
