I was contacted via linked in through a friend saying she has a recruitment link for a secret shopper program. I checked it out and it was a survey. Ive done paid surveys in the past so I didnt think too much of it. My only information I gave was my email, home address and name. I got an email saying I was accepted and before I could even decline the opportunity they sent me a check in the mail of an “assignment”. I deposited the check into my account but then my boyfriend pointed out that it sounded like a scam. I then decided to contact my bank about the check and report the scam
