The Veterans Advocacy and Benefits Association VABA Reports & Reviews (11)

It's a shame that people use military families to scam. Mike called and said he was representing military families. The consultation and stated services is similar to signing up with any lead marketing producing agency. They will walk you through various methods on how they generate leads and take your personal information, but never produce any results. I have tried contacting them several times and only receive a foreign person that keeps you on hold. Please don't waste your time with this company. Its a scam.

Called me looking for referral Real Estate Agents for Veterans. The cost was only $100 per year to be in their directory and only took 3-5 minutes to sign up. When I was on the line with him he wanted me to go to www.thevaba.com. I then googled reviews scam alert. I told him I always do my due diligence and look for customer reviews. When I told him it came up as a scam could he explain this? HE HUNG UP IMMEDIATELY! I heard a ZIP Sound and the call was ended. I called back the number 404-427-3173 (Olmsted Falls, OH) and the number is not accepting Voice Messages .

I went through this company, have for several years, and got a few phone calls that were saying they were from the vaba. One panned out as a full sale. Which I didn't mind. I was doing it to be there for the veterans. Not much return, but not that bad of a service.

They answer the phone knowing my name. Telling me the reason for the call.. I let her know I called them BACK. ... they hang up... So I called them back.. Same thing, I ask her where her headquarters is based.. she couldn't answer and says "I cant hear you" ... Hung up again... Here's their numbers... 410-670-5579 and 202-899-7005 ext 4015. SCAMMERS looking for Real Estate Agents...

I got a VM from this person Mike, telling me that they are looking to connect with RE agents who can work with veterans.
He asked me to open this website thevaba.com to show me how it "works", and that they only charge $100 a year.
I would probably get 15 leads and 4 deals per yr from it! ( How "exciting" right ? ), if I am ready to sign up!
I asked him if I had to pay any other fees, like a referral fee?
His answer: No you don't pay any referral fees and you don't pay any closing costs either.
Me: Closing costs? What do you mean? Realtors don't pay closing costs!
He: Yes some realtors do pay Closing costs!
Me: No that is not true... Realtors never pay Closing costs.
He asked me if I wanted to sign up!
I said I like to think about it. Can you email me your contact info and the website, so I can give this some thought?
Before you know it...he hung up on me :) and never even tried calling me back.
I called back, and it went to VM !

MAJOR SCAMMERS !

Hello All, stay clear from this organization. A loan officer who no works with used this service in 2019 so I gave them him my credit card to pay the $200 fee. He left in 2020 however I got charged in 2021 again...I was told that I would get a refund (I never did) and also that the account was cancelled. Just today March 2nd 2022 I get charged again for 2022. I'm going to blast them all over the internet and if this isn't resolved by Friday it will be reported to the Texas State Attorney General office.

I was just like these others. I was, albeit with no guarantees, that it would be $300 and they would put my name as a realtor referral to veterans moving to my area (southern CA) but after one year I never even got an email or phone call - nothing. I didn't know that I somehow had allowed them to automatically renew for another year. I was charged another $300 and of course I called and left a couple voice mails before I was contacted. I was told yes they would refund my $300 but it would take 5-7 days. Well, it's now a month and I still don't have my refund. This is a scam!

Was contacted by "mike", looking for a company to refer moving vets and military to our area. Just another scam Veterans organization trying to sell realtors and other service providers nothing--disguised as leads and referrals. STAY AWAY.

I received a call today from (813) 524-0420.
The man said his name was Mike and that he was the "Veteran Coordinator" for the Veterans Advocacy and Benefits Association.
He said he was "looking for a firm to refer local veterans and current military personnel to when they are looking for a professional in their area."
He gave his number as 202-899-7005, ext 4015.
I contacted the agency and told them I thought it was a scam. They answered VERY quickly saying it was legit.
My spidey sense was still tingling so I googled VABA some more and lo and behold I found this site.

Gave these Con Artists $200 on September 25th, 2020 and was promised a plethora of leads from Veterans that were looking for help in purchasing a home. After several weeks had passed, and never receiving any leads, I took it upon myself to contact seven different realtors around the State of Florida that were registered on their website and they all said the same thing. Not one of them had ever received a lead from VABA. I then contacted the Veteran's Affairs Administration and after several days received a call from the VA stating that they had NEVER heard of this company and that VABA was in no way associated with the VA or any veterans for that matter. This is nothing but a scam and I have filed a complaint with my bank regarding the charge of $200 and I have also filed a complaint with the Federal Government. Stay away from VABA!

They present themselves as an agency helping military families, who are transitioning out of the service, find homes or relocate to new areas. The consultation and stated services is similar to signing up with any lead marketing producing agency. In the beginning they will provide you with various methods on how they generate leads and take your personal information, but never produce any results. I have tried contacting them serveral times to no avail. Please stay away from this company.
