This is a highly aggressive scam, They call stating that they are a car warranty business, and are there to reinstate your car's warranty, I never had not have a warrenty on my car. I have tried asking them on multiple occasions to please stop calling me to take me off their calling list. They continue to call even several times a day sometimes from all different numbers including local and out of area. They refuse to stop calling. When I try to ask any questions in regards to their location or business they immediately hang up on me.

The automated dialer call came from my local area code and, after following the automated prompts, the person identified themselves as being with the Warranty Division. They immediately ask what the year, make and model of my vehicle and my zip code. I made up some information to proceed forward then I asked how they got past the Do Not Call Registry. The caller kept saying "Do not worry, I'm not selling anything" and said they were from my car dealer (even though the info I gave her was false). Again I asked why they didn't need to abide by the Do Not Call Registry and again she said "Don't Worry". I told her that FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers without prior consent. She hung up.

I got a call from a number I didn't recognize. I was expecting a call in this manner so I picked it up. A recording mentioned a vehicle warranty extension (which my manufacturer just sent me).

They asked for make, model year information which they should have had if they knew they were calling about my extended warranty...

I gave them no info and asked for their company name. They said "The Warranty Division". I asked from what company. They repeated their name. I asked what company they represented (Nissan, GM, Ferrari?). They repeated their name.

I asked for a manager, and told them I need to know who I am speaking with. The "transferred" me to a "manager" (same background sounds and I could hear the voice of the original person speaking. I asked the manager what company they were calling from, he repeated their name. I asked for the name of the parent company that they are a division of, then he hung up.

All interactions were calm, polite and non-pressured.
