Type of a scam Identity Theft
As I couldn't recognized this transaction I have contact my Bank (RBC) and request explanation. They said that they were not able to find anything related to this name so they guessed that if I don't have anything to do with Western University then it should be from Western Union (which is apparently a company that is for transferring fund). I explain them that I have nothing to do with either of them and they suggest I do to a branch and fill up declaration form to get these fund back but the agent explained that the fund look very legitimate.
I went to a branch and I filled up 4 forms, one for each transaction and the employee in the bank let me know if it is western union, most probably it is a scam! Apparently happens a lot!
I have never studied or never going to western university. I have never transfer any money through any institute except my own direct bank account.
I only have the screen shot of the Withdraws from my account.
prior to scam I also received some calls(miss calls) from Remitly which I didn't know what they are at the time. then I googled them and they are for transferring money too but I never transfer money so I never call them back.
At this point I think Remitly is helping Western Union for scamming people!
A little back in the story " I was waiting for a transfer from my sister, I received a link on my text message that looked very legitimate and I followed the link, everything looked fine. After I finished the trasaction I saw a text message from Remitly, saying I should click on it to transfer fund, But I didn't know what they were at that time and we only use our bank (RBC) for any money transfer.so what was that! "
I want to report Western union and Remitly (I believe they are helping western union) as scam/fraud as they are very legitimately stealing money from people.
