Investment Scam - Social Media Solicitation
He offered financial advise, pointing me to a brokerage called thecapitalrise.com. I made an initial investment to test the validity and trustworthiness of this brokerage. It actually went through and my $100 returned $170, although there we delays. I then invested $5000 which was supposed to return 15% per day for 30 days. A few days before the end of the term I was told that I needed to pay a brokerage fee of 20% of the total return in order to collect my money and that that was written in the terns and conditions. It was not. I stupidly paid it anyway.
On the day that the investment was supposed to be finished I didn't receive anything, aside from an email that said that as I requested they're changing my password to the website. After that I couldn't log into it anymore and his Instagram and Telegram profiles vanished. I guess he just enjoyed sending that last message as some sort of gloating, enjoying making me suffer kind of thing.
